How we rank movers

Every mover gets a MoverRank Score from 0 to 100. It weighs three things:

• Rating: the mover's Google star rating, adjusted so a handful of reviews can't outweigh hundreds.
• Review volume: how many real customers have rated them.
• Closeness: how near the mover is to the town you're searching.

Our Top pick is our editors' recommendation for the area. Ratings and review counts come from public Google listings and are refreshed regularly.
